02 Tide for 88 Rising’s Head in the Clouds Festival
ROLE: Spatial Designer
SKILLS:Concepting, Art Direction, 3D modeling

PROGRAMS USED:Sketchup

COLLABORATORS:Noelle Valencia - Creative Director

I was tasked with designing Tide’s activation at Head in the Clouds Festival to both spotlight the Tide x HITC clothing collection and provide a restorative space for festival-goers.

My solution was a dual-purpose environment that blended retail and retreat that brought Tide’s iconic brand to life. Inspired by laundromats and Asian Americana nostalgia, the space featured a washer photo booth, a vintage TV looping old Tide commercials, bamboo curtains, and a lucky waving cat—elements reminiscent of Asian-owned laundromats. This not only tied into 88rising’s cultural roots but also created a cooling retreat where guests could freshen up before returning to the music.
